Raised with both Mexican and American cultures, the Brooke brothers feel deeply connected to both countries. As life in America grew busier and more hectic, they felt an increasing need to retreat to their mother’s homeland. Living semi off the grid, away from the internet, smartphones, social media, and the pressures of modern life, they found a different rhythm.
Their small company, Smoky Mountains, makes this lifestyle possible. The two food consultants travel the world to learn as much as possible about authentic recipes and traditional cooking methods—visiting villages in Mexico, food trucks across America, and even cooking in people’s homes. During these journeys, they cook alongside fellow food lovers and gather the most delicious recipes. They made it their mission to spread the true flavors of Mexico and the United States around the world. As food consultants, they stand behind the Smoky Mountains brand, which we are proud to represent and distribute in the Netherlands and the rest of the Benelux.

Those are made from salts and processed cheese analogs and shouldn’t even be called cheese. For a delicious, high-quality burger, you need real cheddar cheese.
The cheddar cheese for hamburgers from Smoky Mountains—made from cow’s milk, salt, cultures, and rennet, and hand-turned—comes from Ireland. Because it’s made as a true cheddar, it has a slightly crumbly texture. We sought out the perfect balance between the mature flavor and structure of aged cheddar and the creamy, easy-to-work-with young cheddar. The authentic Irish cheddar from Smoky Mountains is aged for at least seven months. This gives it a rich flavor and a proper cheddar structure without falling apart—easy to work with and delicious to eat.

Smoky Mountains sweet pickled relish
Sweet-and-sour pickle relish, just like you taste on every burger in America. Delicious and unique in the Netherlands. This pickle relish is made according to the New York deli method. That’s important—because when it comes to American street food, you don’t top your hot dog with a Dutch pickle. And you definitely don't just throw a slice of pickle onto your beautiful hamburger.
The American sweet pickle relish from Smoky Mountains is made entirely following authentic American recipes. It starts with how the pickles are prepared: they are fermented, giving a completely different flavor. You can taste the fermented American pickle through the sweet flavor of the relish—and it’s truly irresistible.
