20 July 2023The Patty Melt Sandwich, just like the Sloppy Joe, was also born during the Great Depression in 1930. Tiny Naylor had a restaurant in Los Angeles and invented the Patty Melt as a variation on the cheeseburger. This quickly became a huge success, and nowadays the Patty Melt is also available at most food trucks and street vendors.

This is how you make the ultimate Patty Melt

Season the burgers: Sprinkle both burgers generously with Burger Seasoning.

Cook the burgers: Press them as flat as possible and cook them on a hot griddle.

Toast the bread: Toast three slices of sourdough bread until they are golden brown and crispy.

Flip the burgers: Wait until the bottom is well cooked before turning them.

Melt the cheese: Place a slice of cheddar on each burger and let it melt.

Assemble the sandwich:
- Place a slice of sourdough bread and put a burger with cheese on it.
- Add crispy bacon and a generous spoon of Pickle Relish.
- Repeat this step with a second burger and cheese.
- Top with Caramelized Onions and Jalapeño peppers.
- Finish with the last slice of sourdough bread and insert a skewer.
