The sweetness of the pineapple combined with salty bacon and spicy jalapeños makes this hot dog a real flavor bomb. And if you leave out the pineapple and replace it with frijoles and cheese, you’ve got a whole new dish. But first, let’s enjoy this Hawaiian before we get lost in all the other tempting variations.

Step-by-step preparation:

Prepare the hot dog sausage: Place the frozen pre-cooked hot dog sausage in a bain-marie until ready to use.

Defrost the bun: Let the Haute Dog Roll de Luxe thaw at room temperature or in the oven.

Prepare the toppings: Slice the pineapple and grill until nice grill marks appear. Then cut into chunks.

Finish the hot dog and melt the cheese:
- When ordered, wrap a slice of bacon around the hot dog sausage.
- Grill the sausage on a griddle, grill, or BBQ until the bacon is golden brown and crispy.
- Place the bacon-wrapped sausage in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with MexMix Cheddar, and briefly bake in a hot oven until the cheese melts.

Assemble the hot dog:
- Open the bun and place the bacon-wrapped sausage inside.
- Add the grilled pineapple chunks.
- Garnish with jalapeños and sweet & sour onions.
- Finish with a zigzag of Hemp Sauce.
